How We Install Slabs & Pads

Sub-grade preparation
We strip, grade, and compact the sub-grade and aggregate base. A slab is only as stable as what it sits on, especially for equipment and shop floors that carry point loads.

Forming & reinforcement
Forms are set to grade and we place rebar or wire mesh sized to the load — thicker steel and tighter spacing for garage, shop, and commercial slabs than for a simple shed pad.

Pour & finish
We pour to spec thickness (4 inches residential, 5–6+ for heavy use), screed level, and trowel or broom finish depending on whether it's an interior floor or exterior pad.

Joints & cure
Control joints are cut to manage cracking, and the slab is cured properly so it reaches full strength — 7 days to working strength, 28 to full.
